Automated Quality System:
ISO9001 / CMM(i) 5 automated process document system.

This is a web-based system that allows the organization to generate the ISO 9001 and CMM(i) Level 5 mandatory / desired documentation from the integrated online repository. In essence, the organization simply keeps on doing its work with but one change - use the web-based system! The system automatically collates the required information for different ISO Clauses and various KRA/KPAs of CMM(i) and makes them available online to the Quality department as well as the Auditors.

The bonus offer in this system is that the system is security enabled and can even be Verisign and Hacker Proof certified (at an additional cost).

The offer has been broken down to the following sub-offers:

a. Consulting and implementation [typically 6+ months]
b. Consulting, Development of non-platform interfaces (to enable integration into existing systems) and implementation [typically 10+ months]
c. Any of 1 or 2 above with dedicated hosting & domain and annual maintenance of this site

The model is onsite-offsite-onsite in Uruguay and onsite-offsite-near shore-offshore internationally.

Process Outsourcing/Data Center:
Process Outsourcing (non-voice/Voice/VoIP) and Data Center .

We have Voice service as part of our offerings.  We are offering dedicated HelpDesk (Inbound calling) and Business Process (Outbound) calling services. To extend our portfolio making it well rounded, a data center is also available in additional dedicated premises but may require time to ramp up. We can dedicate the Center or share the resources among different clients - as per the client requirements and budget.

This offering is based on our "Knowledge Acquisition-Process Implementation-Knowledge Impartation" Framework. We undertake process outsourcing (like rebate processing, Insurance claims processing, Legal Process/data processes - though this is not an exhaustive list).

Clearly, we do take run-of-the-mill Business Process Outsourcing operations on sub-contract. Data entry, of course, is just a small part of the offering.

As part of the process, we take measures to acquire the specific organizations' process knowledge. Then, we implement customizations in our process engine(s) to take up the process outsourcing, use existing or specifically hired resources to build a team (dedicated, if requested). The process runs itself, almost. Finally, if so contracted, we provide the consulting and process engine(s) to the organization and train their resources to take the work further under their own management.

If the client wishes only to have its own foreign language [like Spanish, Japanese, Hebrew] speaking BPO / Call Center set up, this option is also available.

Ramp-up time as well as pricing changes as per the options selected by the organization.

As a bonus, we offer dedicated domain/hosting/maintenance plans to ensure smooth web-based operations and a seamless & transparent interface.

Any additional (non-platform) interfaces are studied and quoted separately.

Business Process Engineering:
The way we work:

We know that with all our 'knowledge', we fall short of the expertise that our prospective clients would have in their respective domains.

Knowing this, we approach the client need for a Busines Process Engineering / Re-engineering in a multi pronged fashion:
  • We first spend time in a Knowledge Acquisition Process. If we have some knowledge of the domain and an advantage because of this, we still keep the process intact so that nothing is missed out.
  • We do a reverse presentation to the client regarding our understanding of the needs, wants and wish list of the client.
  • Then we sit and prioritize these with the client to enable us to generate an architecture or a migration plan.
  • If things work out, then a System Requirement Specifications' document is generated - becoming the baseline for further work.
In all this, we work under the simple tenet that our clients need to concentrate on growing their business rather than spend time again and again to explain things to their vendors. Hence, we do ask for this initial time from the client. Thereafter, we do our best to ensure that the client only has status reports to see and to see the progress online through our proprietory web-based project monitoring control panel. The only other intervention that the client would to make would be in case of issues that do not get resolved in time.

With this in mind, we have come to a strong belief that we need to collaborate with our clients in this area and to bring to the table solutions. We definitely do NOT believe in 'doing what we are told to do'- because then we are no different than other software service providers.

Our approach is based on the fundamental thought that we can understand our own products, so understanding a legacy application would need a Knowledge Acquisition Process and we would be then at the same level on all the types of applications mentioned above!

In fact, the best approach we have found is to first be resellers/implementation/support partners with our clients; then take up their HelpDesk and bug-fixing functions; finally, to be in a  position to take the headache of maintaining the applications off of the clients' heads.

Of course, migration of legacy is a logical offshoot of our Application Management and Maintenance initiative...

On the Research & Development front, LICOSTAR, Worldwide has extremely unique offerings:

We take up R&D work in any field - scientific, software, biotechnology / bioinformatics, genomics, business solutions ....
We also absolutely ensure that these initiatives are run out of locations that are secure and unknown to the rest of the LICOSTAR teams! More importantly, we absolutely ensure that this research does not conflict with our own inventions.

As required by the clients, we would also be procuring the material/mechanical items/instruments as needed for the Research & Development.

Above all else, we do acknowledge that the Intellectual Property Rights belong to the clients who have offloaded the R&D to us.

In all, we can assure our clients that the secrecy of the R&D initiatives are maintained to the best levels of security we already offer as part of our services!
